DESCRIPTION:Who was The Great Drikungpa\, Ratnashri\, Lord Jigten Sumgon?  His coming was predicted in many sutras\, tantras\, and termas.  There were many miraculous signs of his birth.His successorship as the head of the Drikung Kagyu lineage was predicted by his teacher\, Phagmodrupa\, who was a heart disciple of Gampopa.  Hundreds of thousands of students gathered to hear his teachings.  He authored many classic texts\, including the Gong Chik and The Heart Essence of the Mahayana Teachings (Thegchen Tanpa’i Nyingpo)\, as well as many vajra songs.\nWe are blessed to have Traga Rinpoche here so soon after his 5-month retreat to instruct us on Lord Jigten Sumgon’s Life and Teachings.
