SUMMARY:Tummo Closed Practice Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Tummo Closed Practice Retreat\nWith Drupon Thinley Ningpo Rinpoche\nWednesday\, Oct. 28th – Sunday\, Nov. 1st \nThis will be our 10th Closed Practice Retreat. You must pre-register to attend this event. \nTummo is one of the 6 Yogas of Naropa. It focuses on controlling the bodies’ energies and transforming them into bliss. The purpose of Tummo is to gain control over bodily processes during the completion stage of “highest yoga practices” thus furthering one’s goal towards enlightenment. Though having basic yogic training is helpful\, this retreat is open to everyone. \nDrupon Thinley Ningpo Rinpoche will instruct us in the practice of Tummo (a completion stage practice) using Vajrayogini as a support. Pre-registration is required as well as attendance to the entire retreat. Please call with any questions or if you would like to register. \nAttendance will be limited\, please let us know of your intention to join us no later than October 25th.

SUMMARY:Four Kayas Guru Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Four Kayas Guru Yoga\nDrupon Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche\nSaturday/Sunday\, November 7/8 \nDrupon Rinchen Dorjee oers teachings on The Four Kayas Guru Yoga\, his next installment of his series of practice instructions from the four thoughts on through to the instruction on Mahamudra and pointing out instructions. Here is a description of The Four Kayas from H.E. Garchen Rinpoche: \n“In your personal practice\, you see your own body as the yidam.  You see your mind as the guru. The mind of the guru is the union of emptiness and compassion; we are connected to the guru like the beads of a mala string. \nFrom the perspective of our own practice: the mind is guru\, the body is yidam\, and speech is the dakini. The Guru is the embodiment of 3 kayas: Body = Nirmanakaya\, Speech = Sambhogakaya and Mind = Dharmakaya. Lastly\, the fourth kaya\, Svabhavikakaya signies the inseparablity of the other three kayas. \nAt first\, the guru is the embodiment of outer refuge\, The Three Jewels. Later\, the guru is the embodiment of inner refuge\, The Three Roots. Finally\, the ultimate result is the attainment of The Three Kayas.” \nDrupon Rinchen Dorjee is currently the resident Lama for Chicago Ratna Shri and is the 3 year retreat master for Garchen Institute in Chino Valley. He is known for his wisdom\, patience\, and stable kindness.
