Jewel Ornament of Liberation – 2006 Winter Program

December 3, 2006 @ 12:00 am

Gampopaís Jewel Ornament of Liberation is considered the masterwork of Tibetan Buddhism. For over eight hundred years, the text has provided a complete foundation for the study and practice of Buddhism.

The Jewel Ornament of Liberation examines oneís first entry onto the path, continuing through to the achievement of Buddhahood. Along the way, this masterpiece explores topics such as finding a spiritual master, impermanence, karma, cultivation of bodhicitta, the development of the six perfections, and other significant aspects of Buddhahood and its path.

ìAnyone who knows the Jewel Ornament well can say that they really understand Buddhism.î

— The Venerable Khenchen Konchog Gyaltsen Rinpoche
